How to use iPhones, BlackBerries,and other smart phones.
The Google Maps for Mobile application allows you to plan a Metro trip on the fly just using your smart phone. The Google Maps application comes
preloaded on your iPhone, and can be
downloaded for other smart phones that don't come
with it.
Google Maps for Mobile with GPS-enabled phones could not be easier to use. Since
your current location is known, just type in your destination. You can view the
route in a list format and also see it on a map. As you ride the train or
bus, you can watch your current location travel along the route and know when
you are coming close to your destination. Be sure to select the transit icon, or
you will get driving directions. By clicking on the clock icon, you can
adjust the time of needed departure or arrival.
You can also use an iPod Touch if you are connected to WIFI.
